Magic

Magic is a commonly used method of combat, as well as some other applications. Its use doesn't seem to require any special characteristics on the part of the user, but it does require training and talent. Each country has developed its own style of magic, all of which require a chant to activate. In the anime, Magic circles appear whenever spells are casted.
